Vol. 5 No. 1 (2025): Intersections

June to November 2025: This issue brings together diverse ideas and disciplines. It opens with an essay that transfers the biological concept of “chimerism” to the social sciences in order to rethink identity conflicts and contemporary nationalisms. It is followed by a qualitative study on the perceptions, expectations, and ethical dilemmas of secondary school teachers regarding artificial intelligence, weighing its benefits and risks. Next comes a systematic review on gender-based and intimate partner violence in Ecuador, which highlights the persistence of cultural factors and shortcomings in the implementation of public policies aimed at eradicating it. Finally, an article validates and explores, through structural equation modeling, the latent dimensions associated with students’ academic performance, offering key insights into how motivation, reading, and inclusion shape learning outcomes.
