December 2025 – May 2026: This issue, Challenges, brings together works that respond, from education and applied research, to contemporary problems that demand evidence and capacity for intervention. It includes a study on teachers’ digital competencies, nomophobia, and problematic cellphone use among Ecuadorian adolescents; a systematic review of the flipped classroom in higher health education; an integrative review of third-level technologists in Latin America; an analysis of the knowledge and attitudes of young adults in Ibarra toward organ donation; and, finally, a qualitative study on sex workers in Cuenca during the pandemic, showing how the crisis deepened precariousness, clandestinization, and the re-stigmatization of their bodies and their work.
